Our Junior Debating team, led by Ms. Wasserman, made it to the semi-finals against Woodridge at Alexander Road High. The team included Kettie Nhlema (1st) , Khayalethu Follie (2nd) , and Lindokuhle Khame.
The topic was: THBT (this house believes that) after meeting basic needs, individuals have a moral responsibility to donate their wealth towards poverty alleviation.
Although adjudicators said it was a close call, unfortunately Newton’s points were not enough to win the opposing team. The match was intense and no stone was left unturned.
