On the 7th of April the teachers at Newton took part in a teambuilding challenge. It was based on the communication and trust between group members rather than the outcome and success of the task.
Five different activities were supervised by an independant staff member and included guiding a blindfolded person by voice only, attempting to make a perfect square out of a rope while blindfolded, placing a raw egg in a deep glass jar without breaking it, carrying a member of the team from start to end with a rope only, and using communication and problem solving skills to form a human circle.
The teachers enjoyed being challenged and learned some valuable lessons.
