The academic dinner is the annual prestige event of the top ten achievers hosted by the school as a reward for those students that excel academically.
The guests of honour – the learners and their parents – were welcomed by mrs. Hanria Zeelie. Following were the devotions by mrs. J. Coltman with scripure reading and prayer. Soon after the guest speaker, mr. S. Dukwe was introduced. He delivered a highly inspirational speech that sparked thought and insight for the top achievers.
A light meal was then served as preparation for the presentation of the awards, conducted by mr. Dukwe and mrs. S. van Brouwershaven, and an information screen displayed each achiever’s favourite subject, role model and inspirational quote.
Once all the formalities of the evening were completed, the guests enjoyed each other’s company in a lovely light atmosphere.
Mr. Steynberg concluded the evening with the acknowledgements and it was a wonderful evening where the learners were rewarded for their hard work.
